Green Days out

Today I finally went to help out Trees for Life - our favourite charity, who own the land very close to where we live. We did some tree fertilising and weeding in the nursery - very rewarding experience, nice people. David in particular - the guy who cycled around Australia in one year! Cool! never met someone like that, and he was very nice to talk to too.

So now I am looking forward to do it again, and preparing some ideas to pitch to Trees for Life that they might find useful

Tora end of Jan

Another one on the topic of home...
My messy coziness in the heart of wilderness.

Home

This is one of my associations with home... My cat hunting pheasant through four glasses
That is the picture from our recent visit to Kettle's Yard in Cambridge - a museum like no other I have ever been to! (Bear in mind that it is open only for two hours between 2-4pm.
I was fascinated by this sculpture - made of plastic base, waved around by fishing line ( a kind of thick plastic thread) Made by Gabo (who happened to be russian, and who imigrated in his early 30th to USA)

Hello my blog...

Well, I am back.

Why?

Well, I have FB, twitter, skype, website, but no real blog.

So here we are. As so many people before me, I am making a dedication to write.

Ideas have been flooding, and most of them photography and Interior design related. Latter still need to be visualized, but starting from tomorrow I will dedicate my time to developing my photography.

The thing is, photography as a hobby gets very expensive as you progress, and I am so not sure where to move now. Should I spend couple of grand on new equipment and walk in the woods with my hands shaking every time I change the lens? Or should I just stick with my 1000D and stop dreaming that my photos might beautify someones wall? (Well, they actually already beatify at least one wall that is not mine...and couple of desktops...hmmm... that thought made me feel quite good about myself, actually!)

Anyway...where was I.... Photography...

So!

Starting tomorrow, which is February, I am going to study one theme a month...
And february will be all about...HOME.
Thats is, I am studying the theme of Home
